Why Relocate to Denver?

Thinking about relocating to Denver? Now is a great time for a Denver relocation, as prices on homes continue to be lower than usual nationwide – including Denver. While some home prices in Denver’s outlying suburbs, such as Douglas County, have risen, the majority of Denver real estate closer to Denver proper have dropped – some by as much as 35% (Source: The Denver Post http://www.denverpost.com/ci_6797508).

The Great Outdoors

But there are more reasons to relocate to Denver than its real estate prices. One of Denver’s greatest benefits is that it is an urban center nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains. That means that if you love the mountains but don’t want to live too far from the city, Denver is a perfect choice. Within a two-hour drive time radius around Denver, there are many slopes to enjoy skiing and snowboarding for most of Colorado’s autumn, winter, and spring months. During the warmer months, the mountains around Denver are a great place to go hiking, camping, and rock climbing.

The City of Denver

When you consider relocating to Denver, it certainly helps if you love the great outdoors. But even if your feelings towards Denver’s mountains, ski slopes, snowboarding, and hiking opportunities are only luke-warm, the city of Denver itself still has a lot to offer.

Denver has a rich history, and if you’re a history buff you can learn Denver’s history for free with one of the guided tours offered on Wednesdays and Saturdays by the Brown Palace Hotel. And if you have children who love ancient history, take them to Dinosaur Ridge, where they can view prehistoric animal tracks. Denver is also the home of Coors Brewery, which offers free tours and free beer samples.

Now couldn’t be a better time to relocate to Denver, CO. Denver real estate is falling, but Denver’s outdoor and urban attractions are only getting better.
